While traveling for business, Miro, a happily married father of two, spends the night with a prostitute who mysteriously shows up at his hotel room. After a cocaine-fueled night of debauchery, Miro discovers the girl dead in the bathroom. With nowhere else to turn, he enlists the help of the hotel doorman and desk clerk to cover up the accident. But before long, the two accomplices come looking for him to return the favor.
The final film of award-winning director Lukas Nola, THE ESCORT is a Hitchcockian thriller that demonstrates “the helmer’s last cry against the violence and injustice in the very fabric of Croatian society” (Cineuropa).
