J.R. (Andrew Mojica) is a Dominican small business owner who is chasing the American dream by using his South Bronx bodega as a front for selling cocaine. But J.R.’s path to fame, fortune and 100K Instagram followers hits a snag when he angers the rival drug lord who operates the African market across the street and his own “associates” become alarmed about him revealing way too much in front of the camera. Featuring a memorable and eccentric cast of characters, BODEGA is a mockumentary about running a criminal enterprise at convenience store prices.
